How old do you have to be to take this class?

You must be 21 years of age or older.  While an 18 year old may purchase a rifle, in the state of California, you must be 21 years old to purchase a handgun.

I'm a new gun owner, with no experience, can I take this class?

Beginners are always welcome and we have had many successful new gun owners!  However, it should be noted that a CCW class is not always for a beginner.  It's generally designed for and intended to be a venue for applicants with a basic understanding of shooting and gun handling techniques.  To that point, for less experienced persons, preparatory training could prove beneficial, increasing the applicant's confidence and probably success.  Contact us if you'd like to arrange for private one-on-one instruction.

Do I have to live in your county to take a course?

In order to take our course and receive a qualification certificate, you MUST reside within Mendocino, Sonoma or Lake Counties.
