Currently, you must be 21 years of age or older.  While an 18 year old may purchase a rifle, in the state of California, you must be 21 years old to purchase a handgun.
Beginners are always welcome and we have had many successful new gun owners!  However, it should be noted that a CCW class is not always for a beginner.  It's generally designed for and intended to be a venue for applicants with a basic understanding of shooting and gun handling techniques.  To that point, for less experienced persons, preparatory training could prove beneficial, increasing the applicant's confidence and probable success.

Contact us if you'd like to arrange a private one-on-one session.
We have many students who live outside of Mendocino, Sonoma, or Lake Counties, take our course for educational purposes.

However, in order to receive a qualification certificate and apply for a CCW permit, you must live within one of these counties.

Private instruction is not dependent on your county of residence.  If you're a new gun owner, or just want to get some extra instruction, we can provide the training.
